Eyelash extension aftercare: make your lashes last longer
With the right care, eyelash extensions stay beautiful for weeks longer. Read a professional’s tips for cleansing and maintaining your lashes.
Eyelash extensions are an investment in a beautiful gaze — and with the right care you get the most out of them. We have gathered the most important aftercare tips to keep your lashes full and neat for as long as possible.
The first 24 hours
The adhesive fully cures in about a day. Avoid contact with water, steam and sauna for the first 24 hours so the extensions bond properly.
Daily cleansing
Cleanse your lashes daily, or at least a few times a week, with a gentle cleanser made for lash extensions. Clean lashes last better, as oil and makeup residue weaken the adhesive.
- Use a soft lash brush and comb your lashes gently each morning.
- Pat your lashes dry — do not rub.
- Avoid oil-based products and liquid eyeliner on the lash line.
What to avoid
Do not pull or twist the extensions, as this can damage your own lashes. Also avoid mascara and lash curlers. If you use mascara, choose a water-based product suitable for extensions.
When to book a refill?
Your natural lashes renew over time, so extensions thin out gradually. We recommend a refill every 2–3 weeks. This keeps a full result and costs less than a brand-new set each time.
